In this short treatise the meaning of true knowledge will be explained as well as important advises for the seekers of knowledge to help them on their journey. Advice taken from what is in the scriptural sources, the books of those who have written about this subject before me and from my own experience as a seeker of true knowledge and wisdom. Shaykh Zoheir Ali Esmail is an Educator and a Trustee at the Batool Foundation. He has a passion for education and the production of high-quality Islamic content.
Shaykh Zoheir began his Islamic education in 2007. He studied Arabic at the University of Damascus and introductory Hawza Studies at the Hazwa of Imam Kumayni in the Sayyida Zaynab (as) area. He then continued to pursue Hawza Studies in London and obtained a Master’s Degree in Islamic sciences from Middlesex University.
In 2009, Zoheir relocated to Iran with his family to advance his studies. He gained a Master’s Degree in Islamic Mysticism from the hawza of Imam al-Khumayni in Qum and a Doctorate from the University of Exeter with the thesis title: Between Philosophy and Irfan: Interpreting Mulla Sadra from the Qajars to Post-Revolutionary Iran.
Dr. Zoheir currently spends most of his time teaching privately and at various institutions, as well as researching and writing for the Foundation.
